| Do people really change? -or- People do not change.
* Is a question/statement that seems to pop up every now and then. Ive been thinking about it...
I like to think that I, personally have changed over the past couple of years. As a matter of fact, I can think of a number of ways I've changed. ... Changes in actions, thoughts, principles..... They're all there.
Some statistic somewhere says that every cell in your body will have died and been replaced in 7, or some odd years. Lol, so if that's true, it's pretty much impossible to resist changing.
--But, if change comes so unstop-ably, then why the old adage "people never change" --?
So- As I was thinking about ways that I have changed, I realized--- /* *The strangest thing has occurred! *18 months ago, I would've thought you were cool. *But today, I just think you're irresponsible. * *And it's sad! *Because 90% of it seems to be your friends' bad influence. * *And what's even worse- You think they're friends! *What on earth could I mean? *See how long they stay if there is no booze! * *Ah, and to think that people change is strange! *People never change, do they? *Oh, no, of course not. *Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. * *Too bad you don't believe that people change. *If you did, you might allow yourself to change. *And you might even believe me more. */
Perhaps--- People who say that simply don't see any change in themselves and project that perception of themselves universally.
Who knows?

| Have another drink boy, take another sip ,you're looking a little down Have another drink boy, take another sip, and the memories will drown.
It's never as bad you as you think. It'll only get worst as you drink The best remedy I can prescribe Is to to just give things some time Although days drag into weeks Just try and get some sleep
